Have you detoxed lately?

"Being connected to everything has disconnected us from ourselves."   We're addicted. That's right, I said it. We spend soooo much time on our phones that we don't know when to put them down. As most of you know, I started my own business, aka You are Worthy Lifestyle, this past Fall. It's been a whirlwind so far. I can't imagine what my life would be without it now that I'm living out my purpose. For a long time I doubted myself and what I was capable of. I've been so excited about the opportunity to spread this message of worthiness through faith in Jesus. I have joined so many blogger groups, girl boss groups, social media groups, and...

Fully Alive

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who are alive."-Dr. Howard ThurmanI've been in my feelings a lot lately. Wait, I'm always in my feelings, just ask Rialand. Ha! What makes you feel alive? One thing I can't help but think about is how fireworks make me feel. Or taking off on a plane. Or traveling to another country. Or a perfect kiss from the person you love. Or sitting in front of a breathtaking sunset. What does is mean to feel alive? Of course we all have a heartbeat inside our chest. Most of us are capable...

You're Not Alone

There's this song on Christian radio right now that I adore. Every time I hear it, it fills me up in ways I can't explain. Do you ever hear a song and just know that it's exactly what you needed to hear? I get chill bumps. In the song the lyrics it says "you're never alone." Sometimes that's the only thing you need to hear. It's amazing what three little words can do for your mood. Life is tough. We're all struggling in different ways. Some financially, some with body image, some with being over weight, some with divorce, some with anxiety. The list goes on and on. I personally struggle with feeling like I am unable to...

Growth

My word of the year for 2108 is GROWTH. It's now April and I'm full-on wondering how the heck we got here so fast. When I started to write my intentions for the year, I had a list a mile long of things I wanted to accomplish and then I realized that I needed to be realistic when it came to my goals. It's nice to have a million goals but it's not practical to think you can accomplish all of them in the time that you want. God has a plan that's much much different than ours. We can plan our little hearts out but some things are just going to change in life. Either it's...

Try your Best, Forget the Rest

"Whatever it takes"   Let's talk about relationships. I spent so much time under the age of 25 dating and dating and dating. I got hurt so many times. And not just a little hurt, I'm talking about manipulative, heart-breaking, hurt.  I honestly thought I would never repair my heart and allow it to open up to the love that it deserved, ever again. I dated a lot of idiots, I'll be honest. I never had great luck with guys. Was it me? Was it them? Was it where I was hanging out and who I was spending time with? I'm sure all those years I spent hanging out in bars didn't help. My mom used to always tell...
